takin a break
Last blog entry for a week.
Ah lets see...
Right now is what is called Herbstferien. Literally, “Fall Holiday”. It's two weeks of rest after a shocking start to school. Everyone is very excited, planning parties and the like. I, unfortunately, will not be able to take part in these festivities. I get to experience bigger and better things.
Tomorrow morning, the Wenks and I will depart for Austria, to go Nordic Walking for a week. They have a “holiday house” (I'm thinking time share) up in the mountains, and we will stay there for a number of nights. I don't really know what to expect, hot or cold, or whatever. But what Mathias told me was that there was 30 centimeters of Schnee. So that should be interesting. Oh, by the way, Schnee is snow. Now 30 centimeters if far from 10 feet, but I'll be sure to keep the typewriters and axes away from Mathias. Just in case.
I will be taking many pictures in Austria and as mom says “filling my soul with beauty”. They, of course, will appear on my Flickr page in due time. The new ones right now are just from a walk I took after school. I got bored and saw some cool colors.
The week after Austria, I will be heading off with Rotary to Berlin. I'll be staying there for 5 days with my district, 1860. We will see the sights, the museums, and the government buildings. If you have and suggestions about places to go in Berlin, please just email me so I will have some idea of where to go in my free time.
Well, thats about all I have to say at the moment.
